On the nose, the wine has notes of brioche, preserved lemon, vanilla, and white peach. This well-structured wine will pair well with seafood entrees, roasted poultry dishes and even spicy Asian cuisine

Characteristic of Clos Du Val s world-class style, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon continues the winery s tradition of producing truly elegant wines of balance and complexity. Its opulent, brooding purple hue is accentuated with aromas of ripe black and purple fruit, black pepper and subtle hints of toast. The palate displays a seamless integration of intense flavors that include chocolate, toffee and blackberry. The wine has a rich yet powerful mouthfeel marked by focused, silky tannins and a long, lingering finish.

SEGURA VIUDAS ARIA PINOT NOIR, SPain $30

Pale, bright raspberry pink, with an abundant, uninhibited mousse. Intense raspberry aromas, backed by strawberry and aniseed, and a hint of cherry caramel. Red berry flavors dominate the palate, complemented by strawberry, touches of peach, watermelon and lemon. There is a lovely minerality which adds to the complexity, and just a hint of sweetness.
